Ecofoam SPF

ECOFOAM is a two component, closed-cell spray applied polyurethane foam insulation material having highest thermal resistance value among readily available insulation materials, designed as a structural insulation system for commercial, residential and industrial application. It is comprised of diisocyanate and a blended component which includes polyols, fire retarding materials, catalysts, stabilizers and non-ozone depleting blowing agent.

Where can we apply EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation?

  • We can apply our EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation on existing built-up roof, all loose gravel and debris is removed.If necessary blistered and saturated areas are removed. Pressure washing is done on metal roofs to remove all dirt and debris. A rust inhibitor is used on roofs when dust is present.
  • The EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation is applied as a liquid and rises in seconds. The roof can be walked on in a matter of minutes. Areas where the roof sags can be built up for proper drainage by applying more foam in the problem areas.
  • The Ecofoam Polyurethane Insulation roof is now ready for coating. An elastomeric, weather resistant coating is applied to seal the foam. The normal coverage is two coats with the final coat being white. Other colors may be used but the white coating further reduces heat. The foam must be recoated every 8-10 years.

How do we apply EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation?

We can apply the EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation if the substrate to be applied for is clean and dry. If the substrate is neither wet nor dirty, the EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation might not bond with the substrate causing it to pill off. The equipments that we are using are the proportioning machines, air compressors, hoses and spray air guns. Our insulation terms are experts in terms of applying the EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation in any substrates and they usually apply it with a 90° angle to be much more proportions. We are using 40% Freon or blowing agent in order for our EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation to be a good insulation material. EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation should be sprayed if the weather is not humid, or we can apply it if the sun is high in order for it to cure effectively and efficiently.

✔ REDUCES SOUND TRANSMISSION – When properly installed, EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation forms an air-tight seal, void – free walls that prevents air leaks and greatly reduces noise transmission through walls. The Sound Transmission Coefficient (STC) is 43. This means that loud speech is audible but not understandable; it is an onset of privacy.

✔ INHIBITS MOLD GROWTH – Mold spores are always in the air and could endanger the structure if allowed to grow. Mold spores require three conditions to grow: Food, Oxygen, and Water. EcoFoam Polyurethane Insulation inhibits or prevent the growth by removing any one of the conditions.
